A Meticulously Planned Random Poem

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great,
And would suffice.

-Robert Frost, 1920

And yes, I watched the amazingly stupid Eclipse movie and that’s where I suddenly remembered that I like this poem. Have fun analyzing.

About bookworm4evr

I go by a lot of names, and I like poems. Maybe that's why I have the wording issue. Greening Grandemalion is my special favorite from a book called Graceling by Kristin Cashore. Jaion is my co-author. She is a very busy person. View all posts by bookworm4evr
