Hey peoples, It’s me! Your faveee author’s back! Well, I’m not really an author yet… but I’m going to be! And if you’re wondering why I’m pathetically happy today, it’s because I don’t have any stress write (again, spelling intended-I’m like that. get used to it) now and I just had English class where we wrote short stories in our notebooks! Yay! I looove writing… like now! Except that it’s nonsense..

Ok, getting serious. This post is about English class. My awesome English teacher was talking all about how to form a character. She said she saw so many authors’ blogs or interviews or somethings talking about how they “followed” their character around. This theory was simply that the authors didn’t write about their characters right away. Instead, they “followed” their character around for a few months, sharing their lives, forming their personality and behavior, and memorizing everything about them.

Once that was done, they started writing. The authors who used this theory claimed it was much easier to write about their main character, because they knew what that character would do in any situation. They knew how they would talk, what they would say, even how they ran, in a forest or something.

SO, I’ve decided to use that theory. I’m not going to write anything for a few months until I know my character inside out. My awesome english teacher said that the key to this theory was to have patience. To really know whatever character it was and all the information about them. So, I don’t even know why I’m telling you readers, but I am. Maybe writers out there could use this too.
